Xiaomi has introduced the Mi TV Horizon Edition in India. The new smart TV comes in 32-inch and 42-inch variants. It also brings support for over 5000 apps, thanks to the underlying Android and Google Play platform. Besides that, it flaunts a heavily extolled display tech. So, let’s see what that is and everything else the new Xiaomi product has to offer.

Mi TV Horizon Edition features

As mentioned already, there is a 43-inch 1080p display and 32-inch 720p panel. Both of them have slim bezels and a 178-degree FoV. Xiaomi vaunts high contrast, superior color calibration, and reproduction, thanks to its Vivid Picture Engine. The chin sports the Mi branding. The audio comes from its 20W speakers backed by DTS-HD technology.

Xiaomi claims the screen can cold boot in less than 10 seconds and calls this Mi Quick Wake. This panel is affixed on an inverted-V stand.

The Mi TV Horizon Edition is powered by Android 9 TV OS with Patchwall Experience. This software is said to have deep integration with 23 content streaming partners. You get a built-in voice search feature. It also gives you access to 7+ Live News channels for free right from the homescreen. You also get things like Live Sports, Kids Mode w/ parental controls, Chromecast integration, Google Assistant, and Google Data Saver.

This is laid on top of internals such as the 64-bit Quad-core Cortex A53 processor, 8GB storage, and 1gigs of RAM.

The TV remote has dedicated Netflix, Amazon Prime, and Google Assistant buttons. Both models house a wide range of connectivity options including three HDMI ports, two USB-A ports, an Ethernet port, and a 3.5mm headphone jack.

This smart TV thus broadens the Horizon Edition series, which already features two laptops, launched earlier this year.
