Xiaomi has launched its Mi TV 4A 40 Horizon Edition in the Indian market. The new Smart TV comes with a screen size of 40 inches backed by Vivid Picture Engine (VPE). It touts to have a “Bezel-Less” design with a 93.7 percent screen-to-body ratio. The TV runs on Android TV 9.0 software with PatchWall UI and support for the Google Play Store library of over 5,000 applications.

As already mentioned, there is a 40-inch display with 1080p resolution, 178 degrees FoV, and a 93.7 percent screen-to-body ratio. Xiaomi also mentions the use of its proprietary Vivid Picture Engine (VPE) technology for enhanced contrast, color reproduction, and color calibration. At the bottom of the panel lies the branding of Mi.

For audio, you are getting a 20W speaker aided by DTS-HD sound.

According to Xiaomi, the screen boots in just 5 seconds, and this feature is named Quick Wake.

Under the hood, the Android 9 OS has been used with “an enhanced version” of PatchWall UI. The TV brings stuff from 23 content partners.

The TV remote features dedicated Netflix, Prime Video, and Google Assistant buttons. As for connectivity options, you are given Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 4.2, 3 HDMI ports (one of which supports ARC), 2 USB ports, an Ethernet port, S/PDIF, and a headphone jack. Rest, you get built-in voice search, kids mode, parental controls, and Chromecast.

The 40-inch Mi TV 4A Horizon Edition is priced at Rs. 23,999 and will be up for sale from June 2 on Mi.com, Flipkart, and Mi Homes. The TV will soon be available at offline stores as well. As an introductory offer, Xiaomi is offering an instant discount of Rs.1000 on HDFC Bank credit/debit card and EMI payments. Moreover, you can also avail Flipkart’s exchange discount of up to Rs. 11,000 against an old smart TV.
