Xiaomi added a couple of more power banks in India named as Mi Power Bank 2i that shall retail in 10000mAh and 20000mAh battery capacity variant. The ‘i’ which Xiaomi has been teasing for the last couple of days, refers to the fact that these are being made in India in partnership with HiPad at the new manufacturing plant in Noida.
This doesn’t justify Xiaomi’s rural India marketing pitch, but at least Xiaomi power banks will now be more easily accessible to urban buyers.
“Xiaomi extends its commitment to manufacturing the world’s best power banks in India. The starting production capacity at the plant will be 7 power banks per minute.” said the company.

10000mAh Mi Power Bank 2i Features
The slim, 14.2mm thin, and compact sized Xiaomi power bank comes clad in an aluminum alloy case with 180-degree ergonomic arc design for a more secure hand grip. The power bank will offer Dual USB output ports and can charge two devices simultaneously. The power bank will also have a USB Type-C port (both input and output) and micro USB port. The portable charger also has a low power mode for charging accessories like Mi band.

Under the hood, the 10000mAh has an actual output capacity of 6500mAh, which the Xiaomi claims offer a conversion rate of more than 90%. Its compatibility extends to 5V/2A, 9V/2A and 12V/1.5A charging which allows you to connect and charge your devices like laptops, smartphones, and tablets.

On the other hand, its 20000mAh Mi Power bank variant offers more battery and also comes with Quick Charging support when you are charging using one port. The dual USB power bank output can charge 2 devices – a smartphone or a tablet, simultaneously or extend your power to others in need.

The all-new 20000mAh Mi Power Bank 2i is compatible with a wide range of devices and intelligently adjusts power output to match device’s requirement. It is designed with a PC + ABS scratch resistant material, which provides a comfortable and slip-resistant hold.
There is also a low-power mode that can be activated by pressing the power button twice, to charge devices like Mi Band and Mi Bluetooth headset.
Xiaomi Mi Power Bank 2i Price and Availability
The Xiaomi’s 10000mAh Mi Powerbank 2i is priced at Rs. 799 whereas the 20000mAh Mi Powerbank 2i is priced at Rs. 1499. Both power banks will be available at mi.com and Mi Home Stores starting from November 23. They can later be purchased from offline stores starting December.
