Xiaomi has confirmed the arrival of a brand-new “India-exclusive” and a “Made for India” Mi notebook. The company’s Global VP Mr. Manu Jain tweeted the global debut date to be June 11 with a “Make Epic Happen” tagline.

Besides the launch date, there’s nothing else known at this point in time. The teasers thus far have been reserved. But, thanks to a report the other day, we have some details to play with. It shares some revealing marketing materials leaked by Mr. Ishan Agarwal.

As per the report, this is going to be rebranded RedmiBook 13, although, in today’s tweet, Mr. Jain implies otherwise. He says, “No, it’s not exactly what you’re thinking”.

So, let’s see what it ends up to be. And if it is RedmiBook 13, then the new notebook will feature a 13.3-inch FHD display, 10th gen Intel Core i7 processor backed by NVIDIA graphics, and an advertised 11-hour battery life. Speaking of battery, Mr. Jain’s tweets hint at the 1C charging tech, something which the RedmiBook 13 also has.

Previously, Xiaomi had poked the rest of the prevailing players in the Indian laptop market. It has also predicated that the laptop would be capable of heavy number-crunching tasks like coding and graphic designing to usual entertainment use.

We are excited. If like us, you are too, go mark June 11 (at 12 pm) on your calendar.
