Xiaomi entered the laptop segment in India last year with the launch of the Mi notebook range. And now, its sub-brand Redmi is also set to unveil the RedmiBook range in the country soon. Well, the company has already teased the launch date to be August 03. And ahead of the event, we have got reports of the RedmiBook’s specs and price as well.

A recent report has revealed the laptop to be RedmiBook 15, and here’s what it would bring to the table :

RedmiBook 15 Specs (expected)

The teaser poster shows a traditional design with thick bezels around the display, especially by the bottom where we also see the brand logo. Now, the screen size is reported to be 15.6-inch diagonally. And it is going to be a 1080P panel.

We also get to see a webcam, which is said to be a 720P one. Whether it would incorporate IR or not is yet to be seen.

The expected innards are the 11th gen Intel Core i5 CPU coupled with 8GB of RAM and 256/512GB SSD storage. Although the battery size isn’t mentioned in the leak, the claimed battery life is up to 10 hours and should be charged back to full thanks to a 65W adapter. Other things in the mix are Windows 10 OS, 2x 2W speaker, and similar connectivity solutions like the Mi Notebook including dual-band WiFi, Bluetooth 5.0, USB Type-C 3.1, USB Type-A, HDMI, and 3.5mm headphone jack.

All that and the laptop is expected to be thin and light in form.

The report also alludes to other models to follow such as a RedmiBook 14. And apparently, Xiaomi isn’t planning to update its Mi Notebook stocks. So, folks looking for it will be left with Redmibook as the alternative instead.

RedmiBook 15 India Price and Availability

RedmiBook 15 is expected to be priced under ₹50,000. Xiaomi has confirmed that it will be arriving in Charcoal color.

The company has launched a lot of models in China, so it is very difficult to predict which all laptops will eventually make their way to India. Anyway, the upcoming launch day is just days from now. So, mark your calendars for that.
