RedmiBook 13 Ultrabook & Redmi G Gaming Laptop announced: Price, Specs details

Redmi, a Xiaomi sub-brand in China, has presented RedmiBook Air 13 notebook and Redmi G Gaming laptop in its motherland. Interestingly this is the first-ever gaming laptop launched under the Redmi brand. Both of these Redmi laptops are powered by Intel’s 10-generation processors. While the RedmiBook 13 is ultra-light weighing just 1.05kgs, the gaming machine has a high refresh rate screen, more powerful CPU, and discrete Nvidia GPU.

RedmiBook 13 Specs and Features

The RedmiBook 13 laptop brings in an all-metal design and a chassis that measures 12.99mm in thickness. The notebook includes a 13.3-inch display with 2560 x 1600 pixels resolution and 16:10 aspect ratio. It has 100 percent sRGB colour gamut coverage and can deliver 300nits peak brightness. Redmi has also used DC Dimming technology to ensure flicker-free viewing.

RedmiBook 13 comes with 10th generation Intel Core i5-10210Y processor whose cores are clocked between 1Ghz – 4 GHz (all 4 cores 2.7 GHz max). Redmi is offering this 13-inch ultrabook in two models: 8GB + 512GB and 16GB + 512GB SSD storage. It includes a 41Wh non-removable battery which as per claims can last up to eight hours on a single charge. It comes bundled with a 65W USB-C adapter in the box. The RedmiBook Air 13 comes with a pre-installed Microsoft Windows 10 operating system.

RedmiBook Air 13 price

The RedmiBook Air 13 price is fixed at RMB 4,899 (approx Rs 53,000) for 8GB + 512GB and RMB 5,199 (approx Rs 56,000) for 16GB + 512GB variant.

Redmi G Gaming Laptop: Specs and Features

The first-ever Redmi Gaming laptop houses a 16.1-inch full HD display. Redmi offers it with a 60Hz refresh rate and a 144Hz refresh rate panel. The IPS display has a 178-degree viewing angle, 300 nits of brightness, and 100% sRGB support.

At its heart, Redmi has equipped its gaming laptop with up to 10th-Gen Intel Core i7-10750H processor and up to Nvidia GeForce GTX 1650 Ti GPU.

To keep things cool, it has a six-fold cooling system with three independent copper pipes for heat dissipation under the hood. It is offered with up to 16GB of 2933MHz DDR4 RAM and 512GB of SSD storage onboard. This Windows 10 based gaming laptop comes with propitiatory gaming-focused software “G Box”. It helps you keep a check on CPU/GPU frequencies and temperatures.

The Redmi G comes with 2x USB 3.2 Gen 2, 1x USB 2.0, 1x USB Type-C, 1x Mini DP 1.4, 1x HDMI 2.0, 1x 3.5mm headphone jack, and 1x Gigabit RE45 port connectivity port. It is fueled by a 55Wh battery which supports up to 180W charging.

Redmi G Gaming Laptop Price

The base variant of Redmi G gaming laptop with 60Hz display, i5-10200H CPU, and GeForce GTX 1650 GPUstarts is priced at CNY 4,999 (approx Rs 53,799).

Then there’s 144Hz variant, for which one has to spend at least CNY 5,799 (approx Rs 62,499) for the i5-10300H and GTX 1650Ti variant. The Redmi G max out version featuring i7-10750H and GTX 1650Ti is priced at CNY 6,599 (approx Rs 71,099) in China.
