Update: Xiaomi has preponed the Mi A3 India launch from August 23 to August 21, closer to the Realme 5 Pro launch on August 20.

The original story follows:

Xiaomi will officially present its next Android One phone, Mi A3, in India on August 23, a reliable, well-placed industry source revealed to Smartprix. The Mi A3 is a stock Android version of Mi CC9e in China and was also recently introduced in Europe. Which is to say that Mi A3 specs, features, and other details are already out, but we know many of you have been eagerly waiting for the India announcement.

Mi A3 Features

The Mi A3 is powered by 11nm Snapdragon 665 chipset and has a 6.08-inch screen, which is rather compact by current standards. At HD+ resolution, the display isn’t particularly sharp but it’s an AMOLED panel, which makes in-display fingerprint sensor feasible.

The handset has quality 4GB LPDDR4X RAM and UFS 2.1 storage (64GB, 128GB), and a hybrid card slot should you prefer further storage expansion.

Other highlights include  IR blaster, 48MP Sony IMX586 as the primary camera, 32MP front camera, dual 4G VoLTE support, USB Type-C port, and a 4030mAh battery.

In Europe, Xiaomi Mi A3 was introduced in three colors – ‘Not Just Blue’, ‘More Than White’ and ‘Kind of Gray’. Yup, that’s a hat tip to Google’s Pixel-color-naming-scheme and might perhaps have been in poor taste had the Mi A3 not been running pure and unadulterated Android software.

I’ve been waiting for Mi A3 for over a month now. Can you please confirm it’ll be launching in 2 weeks or I should go for Moto One Vision/Action or Nokia 5.2/6.2?
