Xiaomi has officially confirmed that the Mi 10 5G will launch in India on May 8. The launch will live-streamed on Youtube and on Xiaomi’s social media handles.
The Xiaomi Mi 10 was supposed to launch at the end of March but the national lockdown disrupted the company’s schedule. Since the government is now easing e-commerce business norms, Xiaomi has fastened its belt to make up for the lost time.
Xiaomi Mi 10 and Mi 10 Pro were earlier launched in China and globally on February 13 with MIUI 11-based Android 10. The Indian version will get Mi 10 with fully ad-free MIUI software, good news for Mi fans who aren’t keen on ads. With the premium specs of Mi 10, Xiaomi is back on the pitch after a long time. However, Indian markets will not host the advanced Mi 10 Pro phones.
Xiaomi Mi 10 Features
The Xiaomi Mi 10 comes with 3D curved edges on the 6.67-inch full HD plus AMOLED display. The panel offers a 90Hz refresh rate, 180Hz touch response rate, 2340×1080 pixel resolution, and an in-display fingerprint sensor. The punch-hole cutout at the front features a 20MP shooter with support of 120fps slo-mo video recording.
The back panel has a bulge incorporating 108MP quad cameras array, an embossing feature of Xiaomi Mi 10. Other camera endorsements are a 13MP ultrawide, a 2MP macro lens, and an 8MP depth sensor assisted with an LED flash flicker sensor.
Under its hood, Mi 10 5G has a Qualcomm Snapdragon 865 processor coupled with up to 12GB LPDDR5 RAM and UFS 3.0 supported storage. The phone will get a moderate 4780mAh battery supporting 30W wired and wireless charging. The flagship Mi 10 also boasts 10W reverse charging.
Xiaomi Mi 10 Price and Availability
The Mi 10 will be available on Amazon India post the launch on May 8. It was launched in China at a starting price of CNY 3,999 (~ Rs. 40,857). What do you think the India price would be?
