Xiaomi has unveiled its Mi 10 series finally. The brand had foretold the arrival of the phones at the Qualcomm event in Hawaii, back in December 2019. On stage, it was revealed that the Mi 10 and Mi 10 Pro will run on Snapdragon 865.

Ever since then, we have gathered more details about the phones from a bunch of leaks. As you may have read from the title, this one’s a 108MP bearer. There’s that and more to know. Come, let’s unfurl.

Xiaomi Mi 10 Pro

Up front, you get a 6.67-inch AMOLED display with a 90Hz refresh rate and 180Hz touch refresh rate. The display also packs quirks like 1,200 nits of top brightness, 5,00,000:1 contrast ratio, DC Dimming, and support for DCI-P3 color gamut. This is shielded by GG5.

There is a punch hole in the front wherein a 20MP selfie snapper resides. Unlock using face or the under-display scanner to interact with MIUI 11 based on Android 10.

The back of the phone houses a 108MP-led (an 8-element lens) quartet. The other incumbents are a 20MP ultrawide, a 12MP portrait and an 8MP telephoto sensor. Besides the cameras, there is an LED flash unit and Xiaomi branding.

Under the hood, you get 5G-capable Snapdragon 865 processor roomed with up to 12gigs of LPDDR5 RAM and 512GB of UFS 3.0 storage. It is powered by a 4,500 mAh battery that supports 50W fast charging support. It is also compatible with 30W Qi Wireless charging and 10W reverse refueling.

Amongst other things, you also get NFC, WiFi 6 and side-firing stereo speakers.

Xiaomi Mi 10: How’s it different from the Pro?

Mi 10

Mi 10 is very much akin to its Pro sibling, save for few changes here and there. For instance, the frontier peaks brightness up to 1120 nits. The storage option is reserved up until 256GB only. The 108MP sensor is coupled with a 7-element lens and is followed by a 13MP ultrawide snapper (123-degree field of view) a 2MP depth sensor and a 2MP macro shooter.

It also bears a smaller 4,780mAh battery that supports 30W wired charging, 30W wireless charging and 10W reverse wireless charging.

The rest of the things from dual-mode 5G to internal specs remain the same.
