A new Xiaomi mid-range smartphone, Xiaomi Meri, which was originally speculated as Xiaomi Mi 5c, has been benchmarked on Geekbench and AnTuTu, and has also been leaked in a fresh set of images.

On Antutu, Xiaomi Meri scored 63,581 which hints at it being a mid-range device. The same is confirmed by single core and multi-core Geekbench scores of 758 and 3105, respectively.

Based on the Benchmark listings, we also know that the upcoming Xiaomi Meri will include a 5.5-inch display with full HD resolution and 2.5D glass, and employ 3GB RAM to assist its octa-core chipset. The SoC being used has performance cluster clocked at 2GHz.

As you can see in the images below, the handset includes a physical home button below the display, flanked by two dots of navigation keys. It can also be safely assumed that the physical home button integrated a fingerprint sensor for secure unlocking.

The new Xiaomi Phone will be running Android 6.0 Marshmallow software based customized MIUI8 interface.

Xiaomi will present its much anticipated Mi Note 2 on October 26 later this month, but several other mid-range and entry-level smartphones under work are frequently popping on Rumor Mill radar.
