Xiaomi is likely to add three new high-end Android tablets to its existing tablet portfolio. These tablets are said to be equipped with top-in-line chipsets bundled with rich features. A new report reveals some key details about these tabs including their display, processor, battery, and connectivity options.

These deets are courtesy of XDA Developers who have discovered three tablet model names – ‘enuma’, ‘elish’, and ‘nabu’ in the decompiled code of MIUI 12.5 system apps. The three code names have been spotted in methods with a reference to ‘isPad’ in the MIUI app codes. Also, another method namely ‘isSplitTablet’ can be found in the MIUI Settings app.

Additionally, a Xiaomi leakster named Kacskrz has shared two screenshots of the new setting pages for System Navigation on tablets. This hints at the three tablets to sport displays with a standard 16:10 aspect ratio.

Out of the trio, enuma and elish have model names suffixed with K81 and K81A respectively. They are said to be powered by Qualcomm’s sm8250 platform, likely Snapdragon 865, 865+, or 870. Meanwhile, the nabu has appeared with a K82 model name and Qualcomm’s sm8150 chip suggesting a completely different tablet with a Snapdragon 855, 855+, or 860 processor.

The said Xiaomi tablets are believed to feature an IPS LCD screen with a refresh rate of 120Hz and a resolution of 2560×1600 pixels. Kacskrz claims the K82 will be sporting a 10.97-inch display and an 8720mAh battery. The source also revealed that only the K81 model will support voice calls with 4G LTE or 5G connectivity.

So far, Xiaomi has a limited number of tablets in its offering out of which only Mi Pad had made its entry to India back in November 2015. While Apple iPads and Samsung Galaxy Tab S-series are dominating in flagship lineup, Xiaomi seems to be exploring to compete in the premium tablet market with high price points.
