Vivo X20 Plus UD – the phone with an in-display fingerprint sensor smartphone passed another test. The phone showed that its new age technology is as durable as it is reliable.

If you recall, the Vivo X20 Plus UD is world’s first smartphone that has Synaptics build fingerprint sensor embedded underneath the display. The handset can be unlocked with just a simple tap on the screen, which is particularly effective with full vision display phones. However, despite its success, there were speculations over its durability.

Vivo X20 Plus UD Durability Test

Thanks to the JerryRigEverything, we have an answer to that. The prominent phone durability reviewer posted a video through his regular drill.

The under-display fingerprint sensor worked perfectly fine even after some abrasions. Indicating that the Vivo X20 Plus UD fingerprint sensor will not be affected by scratches.

The rest of the phone also proved as durable as the fingerprint sensor. It passed the channel’s durability test where he tried bending the phone, burning the display, etc.

All that’s well doesn’t end well! The Vivo X20 Plus UD durability test didn’t have the happy ending. Towards the end of the video, Jerry tried to test the under display fingerprint sensor with a cracked display. Unfortunately, the display gave up during the process, thereby leaving a question unanswered.
