Mahindra has been making headlines with its enthusiastic embrace of electric mobility. The company’s commitment to electrification is so apparent that it unveiled a fresh brand identity for its forthcoming lineup of electric vehicles (EVs) on August 15. To sustain the excitement, Mahindra recently treated enthusiasts to a thrilling teaser of three of its upcoming EVs – the XUV.e9, XUV.e8, and BE.05 – all of which showcased their impressive capability by reaching speeds of up to 200 km/h. Remarkably, this announcement coincided with World EV Day, underlining Mahindra’s dedication to the electrified future of the automotive industry.

Upcoming Mahindra EVs

Mahindra’s high-speed performance test took place at the company’s proving grounds located in Chennai. To demonstrate not just their speed but also their agility and handling prowess, the three EVs – XUV.e9, XUV.e8, and BE.05 – were lined up side by side. In a thrilling display of their capabilities, the EVs gracefully executed a Figure 8 maneuver. If you’re curious to witness this impressive showcase, you can watch the video by following embedded link.

Among the trio of exciting electric vehicles, the XUV.e8 is set to take the spotlight as the pioneer, expected to make its debut around late 2024. Serving as an electrified iteration of the XUV700, the XUV.e8 will lead the way in Mahindra’s electric revolution. Following closely behind, the XUV.e9, essentially an SUV-coupe variant derived from the XUV.e8, is slated for introduction in April 2025. This unveiling marks the very first glimpse of Mahindra’s upcoming electric SUV coupe, and it promises to be a noteworthy addition to the EV lineup.

Expected India Price

In contrast, the BE.05 is in a slightly different stage of development. Mahindra has progressed beyond the design phase and, in a bold move, unveiled a camouflaged production-ready model in August. This eagerly anticipated EV is expected to hit the market around October 2025, with an estimated price tag of approximately Rs 25 lakh (ex-showroom). As one of Mahindra’s key electric offerings, the BE.05 is poised to make a significant impact in the electric vehicle landscape.
