Top Upcoming Phones That Are Expected To Launch in July 2018

For tech buffs, the month of July will see a number of interesting smartphones lined up for launch this month. While Asus is looking to take on OnePlus 6 its Zenfone 5Z, Oppo and Vivo are bring there much talked Find X and Nex S to India this month.

Apart from these aforementioned phones, we also expect a number of budget smartphones to hit the market soon. Here are all the smartphones that are going to launch in July 2018.

Samsung Galaxy On6 – (July 2)

Samsung started the July 2018 launch counter with its Galaxy On6. It is basically the re-branded version of recently launched the Galaxy J6 (review). The only difference between these two phones is that the Galaxy J6 is catered to the offline audience while the Galaxy On6 piled on virtual stacks of Flipkart for online buyers. 

The Galaxy On6 comes with HD+ infinity display, Exynos 7870 chipset, 4G RAM and 64GB internal storage. The phone will go on sale starting July 5.

Asus Zenfone 5Z – (July 4)

Asus Zenfone 5Z is also set to make India debut with the first week of the July. Most of the specs and features of the Asus Zenfone 5Z are already known it was first showcased at the MWC 2018. 

The phone exteriors are metal and glass. It rocks a 6.2-inch display on the front with an impressive 90-percent screen-to-body ratio. Asus also adheres to the Notch trend but claims its notch is smaller than Apple’s iPhone X. The Zenfone 5Z rocks a Snapdragon 845 chipset, up to 8GB RAM and Up to 256GB storage. Asus is expected to pitch the Zenfone 5Z as OnePlus 6 alternative could price it competitively at least in India. The phone will be launched in India on July 4.

Lenovo Moto E5 (July 10)

Lenovo owned Motorola is also lining up to launch its Moto E5 in India this month. Lenovo is going to launch the Moto E5 in India on July 10 and it will be an Amazon exclusive phone. 

The Moto E5 is going to house a 4,000mAh battery which will its biggest strength. The phone comes with a 5.7-inch HD+ display with 18:9 aspect ratio, Snapdragon 425 CPU, 2GB of RAM and 16GB storage. The E5 comes with a single 13-megapixel rear camera with a 5MP selfie snapper on the front. We expect Moto E5 to be priced under Rs 10,000.

OPPO FIND X (JULY 12)

The Chinese smartphone manufacturer recently made headlines when it unveiled futuristic looking the Oppo Find X. The phone comes with crazy 93.8 percent screen-to-body ratio with hardly any noticeable bezel around the all screen front.

The Oppo Find X biggest talking point is its motorised pop-out system that features both front and rear cameras. The Phone comes with 6.4-inch full HD+ AMOLED display and a Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 SoC, up to 8GB RAM and up to 256GB storage. The Oppo Find X packs a 3,730 mAh battery and runs on Android 8.1 Oreo-based Color OS. The phone will officially make India debut on July 12.

VIVO NEX S (JULY 19)

Another BBK electronics subsidiary Vivo is also going to introduce its flagship device in India in July. The Vivo Nex S biggest highlight is its futuristic design that holds no place for bezels or a notch. The Vivo Nex S comes with a retractable pop up selfie camera that only pops out when you turn on the selfie camera.

The Nex S also flaunts a third generation in-display fingerprint sensor which has better accuracy then what we witnessed in the Vivo X21. The Vivo Nex S includes a Snapdragon 845 mobile processor, 6.59-inch AMOLED Display and dual 12MP rear cameras.

Nokia X6

HMD Global is also expected to launch its first notch display phone – the Nokia X6 in India sometime later this month or early August. The phone comes with a 5.8-inch FHD+ screen with 19:9 aspect ratio. The phone comes with metal clad design and is like to be offered in in blue, black, and silver hues.

The Nokia X6 employs a Snapdragon 636 SoC, 4GB of RAM, and 32 or 64GB of internal storage. In China, HMD Global also offers it with a 6GB of RAM and 64GB storage variant but it remains to be seen whether it comes to India or not. The X6 includes a rear mounted fingerprint sensor and a USB-C port for charging and data transfer.

Honor 9X

If media reports are correct, than you can expect Honor 9i to make its debut as Honor 9X later this month. Last month Honor launched its 9i in China and since then there we have been hearing rumors that it will be launched in India as the Honor 9X.

Continuing with the notch trend, Honor 9X is also likely to feature notch display. The Chinese version of Honor 9i comes with a 5.84 inch IPS LCD FullHD+ screen with an 18:9 ratio. It is powered by the Kirin 659 chipset with 4GB of RAM and 64GB storage. Huawei is expected to pit it against the the likes of Xiaomi’s Note 5, RealMe 1 and Asus Zenfone Max Pro M1. The Honor 9X is expected to be priced around Rs 15,000.

 Xiaomi Mi Max 3

Xiaomi is expected to announce a the Mi Max 3 in the fourth week of July. Xiaomi has been actively teasing a new phone on its social media and it is expected to launch the Mi Max 3 in India, Indonesia, Russia and China.

Recently, the Mi Max 3 was spotted on TENNA with three model numbers M1M1804E4T, M1804E4A and M1804E4C therefore we expect it to come in three configurations. The Mi Max 3 likely to come in 3GB RAM + 32GB storage, 4GB RAM + 64GB, and 6GB RAM + 128GB storage options. It is expected feature a 6.9-inch display fullHD+ display and Snapdragon 636 chipset under-the-hood.
