Vivo V5s (review) and V5 Plus (review) are two phones which are all over the places, at least as far as Selfie banners go. Vivo is leaving no stone unturned to advertise how impressive its selfie cameras are. And we do think these claims have some merit.  The Vivo V5s deserves to be on this list of better selfie phones under Rs. 20,000. The phone packs a 20MP selfie camera assisted by a ‘moonlight’ fill flash.

Vivo uses a Sony IMX376 under the hood which definitely proves its worth with better selfies in a different ambiance. In case an effective Beautify mode is your yardstick to judge a selfie camera, Vivo V5s has got a great one.

Oppo F3

Oppo F3

This selfie expert comes with a16MP front-facing camera with 76.4-degree wide-angle lens, 1/3.1-inch sensor, f/2.0 aperture and a secondary 8MP front camera with 120-degree wide-angle lens.

Gionee A1

Gionee A1 Selfie camera (1)

Gionee A1 (first impression) is the first smartphone from company’s republic of ‘#Selfiestan’ and comes with a ‘Smile Ok Please’ tagline. The USP of this newly launched smartphone is its 16-Megapixel selfie camera that comes with a dedicated LED flash. Gionee claims that the A1, unlike other contemporary selfie phones, features a customized selfie flash and independent facial enhancement algorithm that uses soft lighting effect to enhance facial complexions, giving users a natural glow.

Keeping company claims aside, our experience with the Gionee A1 selfie camera so far suggest it is one of the better selfie shooters in its class. The details and color tones are natural and for all those who like virtual touch-up and glamourous photos, it has an effective beautify mode present. Gionee has also added HDR mode for selfies.

Moto G5 Plus

Amidst all this frenzy, if you are looking for a jack of all trades smartphone that can click decent selfies, in our opinion, it will be the Moto G5 Plus (first impression). It’s an online exclusive phone targeted towards a different set of the audience when compared to the like of Gionee’s, Vivo’s and Oppo’s.

It comes with a modest 5MP selfie camera and doesn’t feature a selfie flash. So, why is it in this list, you may ask? Well, despite the lack of megapixel counts it still manages to take aptly-metered selfies even indoors. Apart from that, it probably has the best in class rear camera as well (if that counts).
