Mark your September 2017 calendar as it is going to be packed with some exciting smartphone launches! Xiaomi, Lenovo, Vivo, Apple, and Samsung all have been holding back for a while, patiently waiting for the upcoming festival season or for IFA, and are gearing up to outdo each other. If you are planning to buy a new smartphone for yourself or your loved ones then we would like you to check these new options upcoming options that are set to hit the online and offline stores in September.

Top Smartphones Expected to Launch In September 2017 in Indian Market

Xiaomi Mi A1

Xiaomi Mi A1 is likely to be the first smartphone launch that we are set to witness in the month of September. It will be Xiaomi’s first dual camera phone in India. The Mi A1 is a flagship series smartphone that comes with a 5.5-inch full-HD (1080×1920 pixels) LTPS display. Xiaomi once again counts on Snapdragon 625 SoC. The 2GHz chipset is supported by a 4GB of RAM and Adreno 510GPU. The phone will be based on Android One platform without MIUI customiztions.

The dual rear camera setup in Xaiomi Mi A1 seems to be inspired from Apple iPhone 7 Plus and OnePlus 5 as it packs a dual 12-megapixel sensor (for 2X Zoom). The phone is expected to be priced at Rs. 20,000.

Lenovo K8 Plus

After expanding its Note series with the K8 Note (review) launch in August, Lenovo has its eye on K-series as it is gearing up to launch K8 Plus in India. While Lenovo is busy teasing it, Flipkart went on air to announce that the phone will be unveiled on September 6 and will be a Flipkart exclusive.

Lenovo K8 Note

According to the Geekbench,  the Lenovo K8 Plus will be featuring MediaTek Helio P25 chipset, 3GB RAM, and dual optics. Like K8 Note, we expect K8 Plus to come out running Android Nougat out of the box.

Vivo V7+

Vivo V5 Plus (review) successor will be unveiled on the September 7 and the company has already started rolling out the press invites. The Vivo 7 Plus, is certainly going to be a selfie centric phone. Vivo will once again go with a 5.5-inch Full HD 1080p display along with a metal shell. And if the invite images are anything to go by, the phone would flaunt an edge-to-edge display panel.

The phone is likely to be powered by Snapdragon 653 chipset which could be mated to a 4GB RAM and 64GB/128GB of internal storage. As far as optics are concerned, one of the two cameras on the front will be a 24-megapixel sensor while secondary sensor details are still not available. Alongside Vivo V7 Plus, the company could also announce Vivo V7 as well.

Asus Zenfone 4 Series

As we are approaching festive season Asus is all set to introduce its Zenfone Series 4 phones in India. Though Asus is yet to officially announce its launch dates, we have learned that Asus Zenfone 4 Series Indian launch will happen in September it self. Having said that, there is still uncertainty regarding how many Zenfones Asus will be unleashing at one go. 

The Asus Zenfone 4, ASUS ZenFone 4 Pro, ASUS ZenFone 4 Selfie, ASUS ZenFone 4 Selfie Pro, ASUS ZenFone 4 Max, and ASUS ZenFone 4 Max Pro are the part of 4 series.

Samsung Galaxy Note 8

Samsung Galaxy Note 8 was unboxed couple of weeks back in New York. In recent years, Samsung flagship smartphones have made their way to India within few weeks of the global launch and we expect Samsung will follow the same trend again. Though the Galaxy Note 8 India launch date isn’t official yet, the phone is expected to hit Indian retail shelves before Dushera.

The main attraction of the Samsung Note 8 (covers and cases) is its 6.3-inch infinity display (that can get a staggering 1200 Nits bright!), dual rear optics with dual OIS and S-pen. Apart from this, rest of the hardware is almost similar to the Samsung S8+ (review).

LG Q6+

After making debut in Italy LG Q6+ is heading towards India for a September launch, at least that’s what popular retailer Mahesh Telecom shared publically.  While the Q6 was an online exclusive, the Q6+ could be an offline only phone. It launch announcement can be made on September 5.

The Lg Q6 Plus specifications are far better than LG Q6. It comes with a 5.5-inch Full Vision 18:9 HD+ display (1080 x 2160 pixel). It gets a Snapdragon 635 processor, 4GB RAM, 64GB ROM and is running on Android 7.1.1 Nougat.

Apple iPhone 8

The Internet is flooded with reports that Tim Cook led team could announce much awaited Apple iPhone 8 on September 12. There is nothing official though. Apple fans across the world are waiting to see what’s innovative features the company is going to announce in its 10th-anniversary phone. Some reports also suggest that Apple could announce three iPhones this year.

In all likelihood, the iPhone 8 will be the flagship device which will flaunt a new bezel-less OLED display with an embedded fingerprint sensor, new 3D face scanning technology, much-improved cameras,  updated glass back design, wireless charging and new color options.

Xiaomi Mi Mix 2

While Apple is yet to disclose iPhone 8 launch date officially, the company which is also mocked as China’s Apple – Xaiomi – has announced the launch date of its next generation bezel-less phone. Xiaomi will take the wraps off the Mi Mix 2 on September 11 in China.

The Mi Max 2 likely to flaunt an edge-to-edge 6.4-inch LTPS display which 2K resolution. It will be powered a Snapdragon 835 chipset which could be announced in a combination of 6GB RAM and 64GB storage or 8GB RAM and 128GB storage. Since there is no real estate left for the fingerprint scanner on the front, it will be placed on the back side. It could also feature a dual-camera setup on the back.

LG V30

We all know that LG’s marketing machinery is at work as it is set to announce its second flagship smartphone – V30 at the IFA, Berlin. The upcoming flagship phone will feature a 2K full-vision display on the top and a Snapdragon 835 SoC at its heart.

LG has confirmed that the LG V30 will feature a dual-camera setup at the rear side. One of the two sensors at the back will feature a f/1.6 aperture lens for better low light photography. LG is likely to pack an advanced Hi-Fi DAC for class leading audio as well.

Lenovo Moto X4

Lenovo is set to grace the IFA 2017 with its Moto X4 which will be showcased on September 2. This new X-series phone will house a 5.2-inch Full HD display and is likely to be powered by a Snapdragon 630 chipset. While outside Asia Pacific, the Moto X4 will be offered in a combination of 3 GB of RAM and 32 GB of storage, where as in Asia is set to feature 4 GB of RAM and 64 GB of storage.

The phone will carry a dual rear camera setup featuring a 12-megapixel sensor with dual autofocus, f/2.0 aperture, and 1.4µm pixel size, paired with an 8-megapixel ultra-wide sensor with f/2.2 aperture, 1.12µm pixel size. If selfie you are a selfie lover, then for you it features a 16MP front facing camera, IP68 certification water, and 3000mAh battery.

Sony Xperia XZ1

Sony is known for launching its flagship devices at big ticket global events and at IFA 2017, it is set to launch its next flagship device – the Xperia XZ1 and Xperia XZ1 Compact. Though Sony will reveal its Xperia XZ1 specifications and features at the IFA launch event, more or less the entire spec-sheet is already public, thanks to the accidental Amazon listing.

The Xperia XZ1 is set to flaunt a 5.5-inch full HD display which is driven by a Snapdragon 835 SoC paired with 4GB RAM. The camera hardware is like to remain same as its predecessor. The Xperia XZ1 will feature a 19-megapixel rear camera and a 13MP front shooter. The Compact variant of the Xperia XZ1 is likely to feature a 4.6-inch display.

Top 10 Smartphones expected to launch in India and abroad in September 2017
