This Year Nexus Phones Might Come From HTC

0

It would be fair to state that Nexus brand was reinstated in 2015 as Nexus 6P and Nexus 5X were very well received. Huawei gained global recognition with the Nexus 6P success and thus was supposed to be in the run for this year Nexus devices as well.

However, recent rumors suggest that 2016 Nexus phones will arrive from HTC, also credited as the maker of first Nexus phone. Perhaps this year Google wishes to lend a helping hand to the struggling Taiwanese manufacture who is also a long time partner.

It’s still too early to be excited about Nexus phone rumors, originating from an often-reliable Leakester on Weibo, but HTC’s involvement is sure to turn heads.

Hope it looks nothing like that

HTC’s build quality and design has always been impressive and the company is perfectly capable of mustering something ravishing.

We can’t help but wonder what the next HTC Nexus would look like. The company already went back to the drawing board and churned out HTC One A9 (that evolves dangerously close to iPhone 6). We surely wouldn’t want the new Nexus to look anything remotely like that.

The source also reveals the new Nexus phones will support 5.5-inch and 5-inch display sizes, which certainly seems plausible to us.

For now it makes more sense to be excited about the new Android version, Android N, which Google will present at Google I/O to be held on May 18 – 20, 2016. Let’s wait and watch.
