The trend of foldable smartphones is attaining pace with every passing day. Now at the Mobile World Congress (MWC) 2023, Tecno Phantom V Fold has been introduced as the company’s first foldable smartphone that is even affordable as compared to other foldable devices available in the market. The handset ships with two huge panels with LTPO support and is backed by MediaTek Dimensity flagship processor.
As for the pricing, the Tecno Phantom V Fold’s 12GB RAM variant with 256GB internal storage is available in the market for a price of Rs 89,999. On the other hand, the 12GB RAM variant with 512GB storage will be priced at Rs 99,999. However, under the introductory offer, the regular variant from the series will be available at a Rs 10,000 discount which is Rs 79,999.
The device will have two color variants, including White and Black. The official names of the color variants have not been revealed yet. As we all know that Tecno is focusing more on the Indian market, expectations are that the device will first reach India, followed by its launch in other countries.
Tecno Phantom V Fold specification and features
The Tecno Phantom V Fold features a 6.42-inch LTPO AMOLED cover display coupled with a 120Hz refresh rate. Additionally, it includes a 7.85-inch main display with a 120Hz refresh rate. In terms of size, the device outclasses the offering from Honor, Xiaomi, Samsung, and Vivo. It works on the MediaTek Dimensity 9000+ processor paired with 12GB LPDDR6 RAM and 512GB UFS 3.1 internal storage.
The device operates on the Tecno HiOS based on the Android 13 operating system. The handset packs a 5000mAh battery along with 45W fast charging support. In terms of optics, the Tecno Phantom V Fold sports a triple rear camera system including 50MP primary shooter, 50MP telephoto sensor with 2X zoom, and a 13MP ultra wide-angle sensor. For the sake of selfies and video calls, the device will feature a 16MP front camera.
