Yesterday, Infinix launched its first-ever foldable flip phone in the country by announcing the Infinix Zero Flip 5G for a price of Rs. 49,999. Today, one more brand has confirmed a foldable launch for India that will take place soon. The successor to 2024’s Tecno V Fold is coming to India soon. Tecno shared a post via its social media handle confirming the arrival of Tecno Phantom V Fold 2 in the country. A new post on X  reveals that the Tecno Phantom V Fold is now out of stock in India and the teaser says, “A new chapter will unfold soon” which teases an imminent launch of Tecno Phantom V Fold 2 in the country.

Tecno Phantom V Fold 2: India Launch

Tecno Phantom V Fold 2 was launched in Africa last month wherein the brand also confirmed its arrival in other markets like the Middle East, Southeast Asia, Latin America, and more. For the global market, the price of the foldable is 1099 USD which is approximately Rs. 92,400. The foldable will cost along similar lines in India as well. Its predecessor was priced at Rs. 88,888 in India.

Tecno Phantom V Fold 2: Specifications

Since the launch has already taken place in some countries, we do know about the specs of the foldable. The Tecno Phantom V Fold 2 comes with a 6.42-inch AMOLED LTPO external screen with a 120Hz refresh rate and a resolution of 2550×1080 pixels. When you unfold it, it flaunts a large 7.85-inch foldable AMOLED LTPO display with 2296×2000 pixel resolution along with 120Hz refresh rate and 360Hz PWM dimming.

It is powered by Dimensity 9000+ chipset and paired with 12GB RAM, and 512GB storage. In terms of photography, the foldable has a 50MP main sensor with OIS along with a 50MP ultrawide and 50MP telephoto lens with 2x capabilities. At the front is a 32MP selfie sensor.

Under the hood is a 5750mAh battery with 70W wired and 15W wireless charging capability. The Tecno Phantom V Fold 2 runs Android 14 with HiOS 14 and Tecno promises two OS updates and three security updates.

The foldable will also come with features like a flicker sensor, side-mounted fingerprint sensor, dual speakers, support for S-Pen, WiFi 6E, Bluetooth 5.3, NFC, and USB-C. Tecno Phantom V Fold 2 measures 140.35x159x5.5mm when unfolded and 72.16x159x11.78mm when folded. It weighs 249 grams.

The launch date is expected to be announced soon.
