Tecno Phantom 9 with in-display fingerprint and Helio P35 Chipset debuts in India

Transsion Holding sub-brand Tecno just launched its Phantom 9 smartphone in India. Tecno chooses the occasion to also renew its partnership with premier Football club Manchester City as its title sponsors. The Phantom 9 smartphone offers features like in-display fingerprint sensor, triple rear cameras, and Helio P35 chipset under Rs 15,000.

Tecno Phantom 9 Price in India, offers and availability

The Tecno Phantom 9 India price has been set at Rs. 14,999. Unlike multiple variants trend, Tecno offers it in only 6GB RAM and128GB storage option only. The phone will be offered in Lapland Aurora colour option.

The Phantom 9 will go on sale on Flipkart starting July 17. The company promises ‘111’ offer in which the Phantom 9 buyers are entitled 100 days’ free replacement, a one-time screen replacement from date of purchase, and thirteen-month warranty.

Tecno Phantom 9 Features

The new Phantom 9 phone boasts of a 6.4-inch full HD+ AMOLED display with 1,080 x 2,340 pixels resolution. It’s a waterdrop notch screen that has 19:5:9 aspect ratio. Tecno also manages to offer an in-display optic scanner on the phone for biometrics.

Tecno has shown faith in MediaTek and sourced a 12nm octa-core Helio P35 chipset for the phone. The phone comes with 6GB RAM and 128GB ROM with an option to expand it to 128GB.

For photography, the Phantom 9 flaunts a triple rear camera setup including 16-megapixel (f/1.85) primary sensor, 8-megapixel ultra-wide sensor, and a 2-megapixel depth sensor. On the front, there is a 32-megapixel sensor for selfie. At the launch, Tecno also talked about AI beautifications, and AI scene optimization. Apart from these, the AI HDR, and Backlight portrait other key camera features of the phone.

The Phantom 9 runs on HiOS 5.0 which is based on Android 9 Pie. As for connectivity, the Phantom 9 includes a 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n, Bluetooth v5.0, GPS/ A-GPS, Micro-USB, and a 3.5mm headphone jack.
