TL; DR
- Suzuki Burgman 15 debuts with a 149cc engine making 14.2hp and 14.2Nm.
- Dual-channel ABS, switchable traction control, and a TFT display headline the feature list.
- India launch unconfirmed; expected to rival Aerox 155 and Hero Xoom 160 if launched.
Suzuki has taken the wraps off the Burgman 15 internationally, a new maxi-scooter that sits above the Burgman Street 125 currently sold in India. It brings a noticeably more premium feature set to the roads.
Debuted in Colombia, the Burgman 15 addresses the one criticism that has long followed the Burgman Street: the lack of serious safety and tech hardware. Whether it fulfills customer expectations or not is something we’ll find out when Suzuki starts selling it in the country.

Suzuki Burgman 15: Price & Availability
For now, the Burgman 15 has no confirmed launch date or pricing for India. However, given that the Burgman nameplate accounts for 25 percent of Suzuki India’s total scooter sales, there’s a very good chance that the company will release the scooter here.
If and when the scooter arrives here, it could be priced around the ₹1.4 to ₹1.5 lakh mark, putting it in competition with the Yamaha Aerox 155 and the Hero Xoom 160. Let’s have a look at the key features of the Burgman 15.

Suzuki Burgman 15: Key Features
As mentioned earlier, the most meaningful update that the scooter offers is the safety-related features. The new scooter arrives with dual-channel ABS and a switchable traction control system (on higher variants), two features that are genuinely rare in the market at this price range.

The scooter has also moved away from 12-inch to 14-inch wheels at both ends, which should contribute to a safer and more comfortable ride. Larger wheels translate directly to better high-speed stability, improved pothole absorption, and more confident cornering.
The seat height sits at 760mm, which is relatively accessible. On the technology front, the scooter comes with a TFT instrument cluster that supports Bluetooth smartphone connectivity, and, along with it, turn-by-turn navigation and call/message alert functionality. Buyers will also get keyless ignition and a USB-C charging port.

The underseat storage is slightly larger than the Burgman 125’s. Finally, the split LED headlamp, with an inverted horseshoe-shaped DRL, gives the Burgman 15 a sharper front profile than its smaller sibling.
The engine itself is a 149cc single-cylinder (air-cooled) unit making 14.2hp at 8,500rpm and 14.2Nm at 6,500rpm, which is a 5.8hp and 4Nm improvement over the Burgman Street 125. Since this is an air-cooled setup, it may limit sustained performance in demanding conditions compared to liquid-cooled rivals like the Aerox 155.
