TL; DR
- Skoda launches the Kylaq Sportline at ₹11.32 lakh (MT) and ₹12.32 lakh (AT), ex-showroom.
- Gets blacked-out exterior elements, a darker cabin, and projector headlamps; engine unchanged.
- Kylaq sales growth has slowed to just 2.32% YoY through July, prompting the fresh variant.
Skoda India has added a new variant to its existing Kylaq lineup: the Sportline trim. The seventh trim is priced at ₹11.32 lakh for the manual and ₹12.32 lakh for the automatic (ex-showroom prices). The announcement arrives right in time for the Indian festival season, which attracts some of the highest month-on-month sales growth in the country.

Skoda Kylaq Sportline: Pricing & Availability
The Sportline slots in ₹55,000 above the Signature+ trim and ₹43,000 below the range-topping Prestige. It effectively gives Skoda a new price point in the increasingly crowded ₹11-12 lakh bracket, without pushing buyers to the top trim.
| Variant | Manual (Ex-showroom) | Automatic (Ex-showroom) |
| Signature+ | ₹10.77 lakh | ₹11.77 lakh |
| Sportline | ₹11.32 lakh | ₹12.32 lakh |
| Prestige | ₹11.75 lakh | ₹12.75 lakh |

Skoda hasn’t detailed a separate booking window or delivery timeline for the Sportline specifically. Furthermore, the dealership stock is expected to follow the same channel as the rest of the Kylaq range. Pricing for the dedicated Sportline accessory pack is yet to be announced.

Skoda Kylaq Sportline: Key Exterior & Interior Changes
In the past, we’ve seen the company take a similar approach with the Sportline trims on the Kushaq and Slavia. It doesn’t ship with any mechanical changes, just a visibly different exterior and interior. Outside, the Sportline gets deep black ORVMs, glossy black front/rear diffusers, a dual-tone floating black roof, and 17-inch blacked-out alloy wheels.

At the rear, the car gets black Skoda lettering joined by Sportline badging, a rear spoiler with finlets, and a C-pillar graphic. If you haven’t already figured it out, It’s also the most affordable Kylaq variant to get LED projector headlamps (with cornering fog lamps).

Inside, the cabin carries the same dark theme across the dashboard, door trims, and roofliner. The black leatherette seats feature Sportline branding and contrast stitching, plus aluminum pedals. Cabin features include automatic climate control, an electric sunroof, wireless phone charging, a 10.1-inch touchscreen, and an 8-inch digital driver’s display.
Separately, the entry-level Classic and Classic+ trims now get automatic AC and a rear defogger, features that were reserved for costlier variants.

If you ask me, I think the real story behind this launch is in the sales numbers. Kylaq alone accounted for roughly 65% of Skoda’s total India sales in July, but growth has essentially flatlined through 2026. If you look at the brand’s numbers, January-to-July sales are up just 2.32% year-on-year, and June-to-July volumes actually fell nearly 8%.
While those numbers might not sound significant, they carry real weight for the company, especially since the Kylaq has been the major cheque earner in the brand’s lineup as part of its Skoda India 2.0 strategy. With the festive season approaching and rivals sharpening their own offers, a variant like the Sportline gives Skoda a fresh reason for existing customers to walk back into showrooms.
