Sony Xperia XZ3 With Android 9.0 Pie Launched: Price, Specifications, and Features

Sony has today launched its latest flagship phone Sony Xperia XZ3 at IFA 2018. Key specifications of Sony’s latest smartphone includes a front-facing speaker with S-Force Front Surround, Dynamic Vibration technology, latest Android 9.0 Pie software, 6-inch curved OLED HDR display, and a powerful Octa-Core Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 chipset.

Sony Xperia XZ3 Features

Sony has installed a front-facing speaker on it Xperia XZ3, with S-Force Front Surround which means even more volume clarity. The sound system also has Dynamic Vibration technology that lets one perceive the volume through touch, while playing games or watching videos. The phone’s Side sense feature employs AI technology for detecting taps and swipes on the OLED panel’s edges.

The phone sports a 6-inch (1440 x 2880 pixels) OLED HDR display having 18:9 aspect ratio, TRILUMINOS Display, along with X-Reality and Corning Gorilla Glass 5 protection. The mobile is powered by Octa-Core Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 chipset with Adreno 630 GPU assistance.

Memory configurations of 4GB RAM + 64GB internal memory, expandable up to 512GB via microSD card is present within Sony’s latest phone. As for its camera, the phone comes with a 19-megapixel rear camera having Exmos RS sensor, 1/2.μm, f/2.0 aperture G Lens, 1.22μm pixel size, Predictive capture, 5-axis stabilization. The rear camera also has support for 960fps slow-motion video shooting and 4K HDR technology. For its front camera specification, the phone has a 13-megapixel camera with 1/ 3,06” Exmor RS sensor, 23mm wide-angle, f/2.0 aperture.

The handset has Android 9.0 (Pie) out-of-the-box UI and derives power from 3300mAh Battery with Qnovo Adaptive Charging technology, Qualcomm Quick Charge 3.0, as well as Smart Stamina mode. The phone is also Water and dust resistant with IP65/IP68 certification.

Connectivity features on Xperia XZ3 include 4G VoLTE, WiFi 802.11 ac (2.4GHz / 5GHz) MIMO, Bluetooth 5.0, GPS/ GLONASS, NFC and USB 3.1 Type-C. The phone measures 158 x 73 x 9.9 mm in dimensions, and weighs 193 grams.

Sony Xperia XZ3 Price

The smartphone will be available for £699 (Rs 63,745 approx) and will go live for sale in selected markets from September onwards. The phone will retail in four colour options- Black, Silver White, Forest Green and Bordeaux Red.
