Sony ELF-SR2 3D Spatial Reality Display Launched In India: Check Specifications And Price Here

Sony India has released a new ELF-SR2 Spatial Reality Display, a device that can show 3D content without additional equipment. Per the company’s website, the product opens up new possibilities for creating and showcasing 3D content. It has a 27-inch display, a Super Resolution Engine to upscale content, and 400 nits peak brightness. Here is everything you need to know about the ELF-SR2 Spatial Reality Display.

Sony ELF-SR2 Spatial Reality Display Specifications

The Sony 3D display is specially designed for professionals like 3D designers, architects, animators, and video game developers. It ships with a plugin that lets users preview their 3D computer graphics (3DCG) in 3D Spatial Reality using Digital Content Creation (DCC) tools. The display is compatible with Unreal Engine, Unity, OpenGL, DirectX 11/12, and OpenXR. The display comes with a detachable stand and VESA compatibility, enabling flexible usage.

The Sony ELF-SR2 Spatial Reality Display features a 27-inch anti-reflective LCD with a resolution of 16:9 and a resolution of 3840 x 2160 pixels. It supports a refresh rate 60Hz and has a response time of 14ms. Regarding color spaces, the device supports 10-bit (8-bit + FRC), Adobe RGB approximately 100%, and can generate 1.07 billion colors. Under the hood, the display features a high-picture-quality engine that helps upscaling 2K content to 4K.

To facilitate 3D viewing, the device features eye-sensing technology that determines which user is looking at the display and calibrates the three-dimensional experience. The recommended viewing distance from the screen is 50cm to 70cm. In addition, the 3D display works with a wide variety of computers, with at least Intel Core i5 with six cores or higher, graphics cards that score 18,000 points or higher on PassMark G3D, and 16GB of RAM or more.

Regarding ports, the device has one HDMI 2.0 port, one USB-C port, one USB-A port, a DP Input, and an Audio Out port. Users also get a 1W speaker.
