Smartphones Expected To Launch In India In March’17

0

Having seen a proverbial collapse in the previous months, largely due to the demonetization drive, the Indian smartphone market appears to be alive and kicking once more.

After a quiet start to the year, the recently held MWC has kicked up a revival of sorts, with a variety of smartphone launches dominating the scene in days to come.

So, if you are looking forward to buying a new phone and want to know what lies ahead of the curve, we put together a list of top companies and the handsets they are expected to launch within this month only. Here, have a look:

Motorola G5 Plus

The country is awaiting the launch of Motorola’s newest, fifth generation of smartphones with bated breath, although the launch is still a week away.

Tough uncertainty over the release of the Moto G5 still reigns supreme. Its bigger (and possibly better) version, the G5 Plus is a confirmed presence at the scheduled launch event (15th March).

Samsung A5 and A7 Plus

The South Korean giant is still reeling under the loss the Note 7 brought along with itself and has pressed its hopes on its upcoming smartphones.

Among these are the 2017 version of the Galaxy A5 and A7 handsets, which will be out in the market on 15th March.

Both the phones feature a premium metal and 3D glass make and come replete with IP68 water and dust resistance at that. The duo will support the upcoming Samsung Pay app, too.

Coolpad

The China-based telecommunication equipment company has scheduled an event in New Delhi, India for March 16, 2017.

Coolpad hasn’t divulged any other detail except for the date and the timing of the event, but has provided an intriguing statement along with it that says, ‘Experience the Power of Small’.

Evidently, the company intends to bring out a compact (but powerful) smartphone and judging by how secretive Coolpad is being about it, we will, in all likelihood, have to wait for 16th to get our hands on the full scenario.

Vivo

Vivo too wants us to block the coming 17th, most probably for a product launch. We have no other information regarding what’s coming and perhaps the formal invite will shed more light on what’s next for India from Vivo, a manufacturer still riding high on the success of its selfie-brigade.

But then, nothing can be confirmed until and unless Vivo says so.

Overall, a lot of new phones should land over the next couple of weeks and if you can, you might as well wait.
