TL; DR
  • Skoda India has opened bookings for the Kodiaq RS with a ₹3 lakh token amount.
  • The performance SUV is limited to 50 units and powered by a 261bhp engine.
  • It is offered in one fully loaded variant across four exterior color options.

Skoda India has opened bookings for the Kodiaq RS, the performance-oriented version of its flagship three-row SUV. To reserve a unit, interested buyers have to pay a token amount of ₹3 lakh on the company’s official website.

A formal price announcement is expected in the coming weeks. However, the car is likely to be priced above ₹50 lakh (ex-showroom). Only 50 units will be made available in India, which sounds a bit too few, but then again, the RS edition is intended for enthusiasts only.

What Makes The Kodiaq RS Different

The Kodiaq RS gets a tuned version of the 2.0-liter TSI petrol engine, producing 261bhp and 400Nm of torque. The powerful engine is paired with a seven-speed DSG automatic and a standard 4×4 all-wheel-drive system. Skoda claims a 0-100kmph time of 6.3 seconds (which makes it quite fast) and a top speed of 231kmph.

On the outside, the RS gets a blacked-out treatment across the grille, ORVMs, roof rails, and window line, along with 20-inch alloys and red brake calipers. Four color options are on offer: Moon White, Magic Black, Velvet Red, and Steel Grey.
