- Tipster Digital Chat Station claims Samsung is testing a privacy screen for the new Galaxy S27 Pro with a 6.47-inch display.
- The Galaxy S27 Pro could sit between the standard S27 and S27 Ultra, bringing some Ultra features to a smaller form factor.
According to a post shared by Digital Chat Station on Weibo, the company is currently testing a new Galaxy S27 Pro featuring a 6.47-inch display. More interestingly, Samsung is also evaluating a hardware-level privacy screen on the device. The tipster wrote, “Do you like hardware-level privacy screens? Samsung S27 Pro features a new 6.47-inch mid-screen display, and the privacy function is being tested simultaneously.”

Unlike software privacy modes that simply blur notifications or hide content previews, a hardware-based implementation physically reduces the display’s viewing angles, making it harder for people around you to glance at what’s on your screen in public.

Samsung’s recent flagship strategy has largely revolved around the standard model, the Plus model, and the Ultra, with the latter growing increasingly large over the years. The S27 Pro could bridge that gap by offering a more manageable size while still retaining some of the features usually reserved for the Ultra.
At this stage, Digital Chat Station hasn’t shared additional specifications. However, it’s easy to imagine the S27 Pro borrowing elements from the Ultra playbook, whether that’s a premium build, the more capable cameras, or other flagship-grade hardware.
Of course, Samsung is still testing the feature, and early prototypes don’t always reflect the final product. Even so, a compact flagship with Ultra-inspired features and a built-in privacy screen sounds like a direction many users have been asking for.
