Samsung Galaxy S8 Specification

Now, some more Galaxy S8 rumors have surfaced online. As per reliable leaks, the Galaxy S8 specifications are likely to include a 5.5-inch 4K display with 3840 x 2160 pixels resolution and 801ppi pixel density. This rumor is in line with reports which suggest that Samsung is working on 4K panels for smartphones.

Another rumor suggests that Samsung might introduce optical fingerprint recognition in the Galaxy S8 which would allow Samsung to embed the fingerprint sensor just beneath the display glass.

If Samsung manages to do so with the Galaxy S8, it will be the first smartphone to achieve such a feat. This new technology is reportedly faster than the ultrasonic fingerprint sensors which we have seen on phones like LeEco Le Max 2 and the more recent Xiaomi Mi 5s.

Earlier rumors also suggest that Samsung might go ahead with a complete edge-to-edge display in the S8. Samsung is likely to continue with its different chipsets for different market strategy.

The S8 is expected to employ a Snapdragon 830 or Exynos 8895 depending on the region. It’s worth noting that both these chipsets are built using company’s 10nm process. The Galaxy S8 may come with 6GB RAM onboard or there is an outside chance of Samsung’s recently developed 8GB chip.
