We’re about a month away from the Galaxy S25’s expected release date, and leaks/rumors about the lineup are coming in from all directions. Most recently, we got to see the leaked renders of the upcoming smartphone, and now, a Reddit user seems to have uploaded a short video of the Galaxy S25 Ultra.

Galaxy S25 Ultra Has A Distinct Look
In a video titled “S24 Ultra Definitely,” a Reddit user has allegedly showcased the purported Galaxy S25 Ultra. Although the title of the video suggests otherwise, renowned tipster Ice Universe confirms that it is indeed the next-generation Ultra smartphone that is expected to arrive in 2025.
The phone in the video, understood to be Galaxy S25 Ultra, has the volume rockers and the power button on the right frame (along with an antenna band). A few seconds into the phone, we also see a four-camera setup (and a time-of-flight) sensor on the rear panel, which has a soft matte finish.
On the top, the phone seems to have two hole openings (for the microphone) and another antenna band. However, there’s more to the video than is immediately visible. When compared to the Galaxy S24 Ultra, the phone has noticeably flatter edges.

Flat Sides And Rounded Corners To Be The New Norm
Although the sides are flat, the phone seems to have rounded corners, which give it a different look altogether. Interestingly, the rounded corners coincide with the One UI 7.0 leak, which is expected to roll out at S25’s launch. This is part of an industry-wide shift to round-edged design, also evident in the latest Pixel phones and iPhones.
On the front, the phone seems to have a hole-punch cutout. It is easy to tell that the phone belongs to Samsung’s Ultra lineup but looks slightly different due to the rounded corners and the flat edges. Nonetheless, this has been a trend among other flagships, including the latest iPhone 16 Pro and iPhone 16 Pro Max, which feature flat edges and rounded corners.

Galaxy S25’s Launch Timeline (Expected)
Samsung hasn’t confirmed the release of the Galaxy S25 series, but it is rumored to break cover in early January. This time, the Korean tech giant is adding a new model to the Galaxy S25 lineup. Apart from the regular Galaxy S25, Galaxy S25 Plus, and Galaxy S25 Ultra, there will be a Galaxy S25 Slim (similar to iPhone 17 Air).
