Design and Display

Question: How is the Samsung Galaxy On Nxt design and build quality?

Answer: The design philosophy of Samsung  Galaxy Nxt is identical to its twin Sibling the Galaxy J7 Prime which made its debut a few days back. The phone imparts a premium feel, thanks to its metal-clad design. The edges of the phone are curved which ensures handy grip. On the front, there is 2.5D curved gorilla glass to shield display from scratches.

Bezels on the sides are extremely slim and speaker finds its place on bit unusual place i.e. the right edge. The flat back with no camera bump is something which is increasingly becoming rare these days. MicroUSB port and headphone jack find a place on the bottom edge. The volume rocker, SIM card tray, and MicroSD card slot are placed on the left edge.

The physical buttons especially power and volume buttons are sturdy and offer good tactical feedback. Overall, Samsung has managed to tick most boxes with the design and build quality here.

Question: Are the capacitive keys on Galaxy ON Nxt backlit?

Answer: No, the Galaxy On Nxt comes with silver coated capacitive buttons instead.

Question: How is the display of Galaxy On Nxt?

Answer:  Samsung has fitted a 5.5-inch TFT display up front. The screen has full HD resolution with 401 PPI pixel density. We like the display on Galaxy On Nxt. Colors aren’t as punchy as on AMOLED panels but that doesn’t mean it is bad. The colors saturation levels are decent and so are the viewing angles. Brightness levels and contrast levels are also good.

The color temperature is warmer compacted to Galaxy J7 Prime and in our books that count as an improvement.

Question: How is the outdoor visibility? Does the Samsung Galaxy On Nxt has the option for automatic brightness?

It is not the best performing smartphone in this price bracket but is far from the worst ones. Most of the times, it managed to handle everything efficiently.Samsung has continued with its aggressive RAM management philosophy for its budget and mid-range phones.

For most part, the phone manages to retain only up to 3 apps running in the background which could at times be frustrating. The gaming performance of the phone can satisfy the needs of a casual gamer. we tried a number of games on the phone and it manages to handle them well. Having said that, we noticed occasional frame drops while playing graphic intensive games.
