Samsung Galaxy F42 5G India Launch Date Revealed, Will Come With MediaTek Dimensity 700 SoC

Samsung Galaxy M52 5G and Galaxy F42 5G are all set to debut in India next week. The South Korean giant will be introducing the Galaxy M52 5G on September 28, and the Galaxy F42 5G on the very next day i.e. September 29.

Samsung and its e-commerce partners Flipkart have revealed design and key specifications of the Galaxy F42 5G on its website. If rumors are to be believed the Galaxy F42 5G would be a rebadged Galaxy A22 5G.

Samsung Galaxy F42 5G Features

The Samsung Galaxy F42 5G looks like a rebranded Samsung Galaxy Wide 5 that debuted in South Korea earlier this month.

As per the details confirmed by Samsung, the Galaxy F42 5G will flaunt a full-HD+ Infinity-V display with a 90Hz refresh rate. It will also have a waterdrop-style notch featuring a selfie camera. Under the hood, the smartphone will pack a MediaTek Dimensity 700 SoC. It’s a 5G phone supporting 12 bands that include N1 (2100), N3 (1800), N5 (850), N7 (2600), N8 (900), N20 (800), N28 (700), N66 (AWS-3), N38 (2600), N40 (2300), N41 (2500), and N78 (3500) bands.

Optics-wise, the Galaxy F42 5G includes a 64-megapixel primary sensor coupled with a 5 MP secondary camera with an aperture of f/2.2 and a tertiary lens rated at 2 MP with an aperture of f/2.4. A selfie camera of 8 megapixels may be added to the front.

It runs on custom skin is layered on top of Android 11 and supports dual-SIM cards.

The Galaxy F42 5G has a 5,000 mAh battery. There is a fingerprint reader on the side, a USB-C port, and a 3.5mm headphone jack as well.

Samsung Galaxy F42 5G Price

In South Korea, the Galaxy Wide 5 is priced at KRW 4,49,900, which is roughly Rs 28,200 for the single model with 6GB RAM and 128GB storage. The Samsung Galaxy F42 5G may be priced similarly.
