Samsung’s Quad camera phone Galaxy A9(2018), which was launched last month in Kaula Lumpur, is set to make its debut in India on 20th November. The launch event is scheduled to be held in Gurugram. This phone comes in line with Samsung’s new found interest of including multiple camera module within a single phone – 4 back cameras to be precise.

Samsung A9(2018) Features
Samsung Galaxy A9 features a 6.3-inch Full HD+ Super AMOLED screen. It is powered by Snapdragon 660 Octa-core processor supported with 6GB RAM and 128GB internal storage. The internal storage can be expanded up to 512GB with a dedicated memory card slot. Samsung Galaxy A9 has both face recognition technology and a rear-mounted fingerprint sensor for better security.
This phone as we know, features quad camera setup on the rear of which the primary one is a 24MP(f/1.7 aperture) sensor, the second one is an 8MP(f/2.4 aperture and 120 degrees ) ultra-wide sensor, the third one is a 10MP ( f/2.4 aperture )telephoto camera that provides 2X Optical Zoom, the last one is a 5MP (f/2.2 aperture) depth sensor with live focus.
The quad camera setup did not seem to do produce any exceptionally great looking photos according to the people who got a sneak peek during the global launch. But Samsung might have made some tweaks to the camera on the software front and we are eagerly waiting to see how this quad camera phone fares after the launch. On the front, we have a 24MP selfie camera with features like Pro lighting.
Galaxy A9 houses a battery of capacity 3800 mAh with fast charging support. The phone sports a glass back panel which gives a 3D effect and comes in three colors: pink, blue and black. The phone expected to be priced between Rs. 35,000 – Rs. 40,000. This makes it the only serious direct contender against OnePlus 6T according to the pricing. So Galaxy A9(2019) needs to perform exceptionally well to make its mark in this price segment.
