Samsung India will start 2018 with the launch of its next-generation A-series phones -the Galaxy A8+ and perhaps even its smaller sibling, the Galaxy A8. Both phones include full-view AMOLED display and dual selfie cameras and were officially introduced a couple of weeks back.

Samsung Galaxy A8+ Features
The Samsung Galaxy A8+ includes an 18.5:9 6-inch FHD display. It’s not quite edge-to-edge as on S8 and S8+ but it still makes the phone look quite appealing. The Galaxy A8, on the other hand, has a smaller size (5.6-inch) screen.
The new A-series phones have glass and metal design with loudspeaker placed on the side edge. The USB Type-C port and Audio Jack is present at the bottom. Both phones are IP68 water and dust resistant
The chipset employed is Exynos 7885 octa-core paired with up to 6GB RAM and up to 64GB storage. Interestingly, unlike the last generation A-series phones, the microSD card slot is now hybrid.
The Galaxy A8 and Galaxy A8+ also brandish lucrative camera hardware. There is a 16MP rear camera with wide f/1.7 aperture, and on the front, the phone has a 16MP and 8MP selfie sensors each with wide f/1.9 aperture optics.
Other features include an accessible fingerprint sensor on the rear, 4G VoLTE, Dual SIM, WiFi, Bluetooth, and Android Nougat based software.
Samsung Galaxy A8+ India Price and Availability (Expected)
The India price is not yet official, but the Galaxy A8+ is expected to be priced at around 35,000 INR where it will compete against phones like Honor View 10 and OnePlus 5T. Samsung might only push A8+ via its online retail channels and keep Galaxy A8 for the offline distribution networks. We expect the official announcement to follow in the next week, close to Honor View 10 launch.
