Samsung India will start 2018 with the launch of its next-generation A-series phones - the Galaxy A8+. The A-series is the South Korean firm high-spec mid-range smartphone aimed to give flagship experience to its users.
The Samsung Galaxy A8+ flaunts an 18.5:9 6-inch FHD SAMOLED display. It’s not quite edge-to-edge as on S8 and S8+ but it still makes the phone look quite appealing. Under the hood, the A8+ is powered by Exynos 7885 octa-core paired with 6GB RAM and up to 64GB storage, which can be expandable up to 256GB via microSD card.
The new A-series phones have glass and metal design with loudspeaker placed on the side edge. The USB Type-C port and Audio Jack is present at the bottom. The phone is IP68 water and dust resistant.
In optics, the selfie-centric Galaxy A8+ has a 16MP sensor for the individual selfie and an 8MP sensor for the group selfie, each with wide f/1.9 aperture lens. The front camera also supports Live Focus feature that lets you click images with blur background. Whereas on the rear, it has a 16MP sensor with wide f/1.7 aperture and LED flash.
The dual-sim Galaxy A8+ runs on Android Nougat-based Experience 8.5 UI out of the box and houses a 3500mAh battery with fast charging support. The fingerprint sensor is on the rear panel, rightly placed below the primary camera.
The connectivity option on the Galaxy A8+ comprises of Wi-Fi, GPS, Bluetooth and NFC. Sensors on the phone include Compass Magnetometer, Proximity sensor, Accelerometer, Gyroscope and Barometer.
