Samsung officially took the veil off its brand new Galaxy A70 and A80 phones at a Galaxy Event held in Bangkok that was themed around “The Era of Live”. Of these, the Galaxy A80 features a rotating camera, Infinity display, and an onscreen fingerprint scanner. The Galaxy A70, on the other hand, is an upgraded version of Galaxy A50.

There are three cameras on the rear – a 32MP primary sensor (f/1.7 aperture), an 8MP ultra-wide sensor (f/2.2 aperture, 123 degrees), and finally a 5MP third depth sensor (f/2.2 aperture). The front camera is a 32MP (f/2.0 aperture) selfie snapper housed in the Infinity-U cutout.
One another area where it raises the bar from its siblings is with the 4,500mAh battery with support for Super-Fast charging at 25W. Gladly, the software experience is Android 9.0 Pie based One UI. You also get usual connectivity options like Wi-Fi, GPS, Bluetooth v4.2, 4G VoLTE capable dual SIM slots (nano), NFC, and USB Type-C port. There is no cut-out for the front camera, thanks to the new rotating camera mechanism. Gladly, the company is generous enough to ship a custom-made case in the box. Anyway, the camera panel houses a trio of Main: 48MP (F2.0) alongside an 8MP (F/2.2) 123-degree Ultra Wide and finally a 3D Depth sensor.
Under the hood, it is powered by an Octa-Core Snapdragon 730G (2.2GHz Dual + 1.8GHz Hexa) processor. This is paired with 8GB RAM and 128GB Internal Storage (no external storage). Android 9.0 based One-UI is a software layer upon this hardware setup.
Well, if you were wondering, Galaxy A80 includes button-activated or hands-free Bixby too. Samsung conveniently avoided the declaration of ditching the headphone jack in this phone. As far as endurance is concerned, the phone is fueled by a 3,700mAh with 25W Super Fast Charging support. The phone which sports a 3D Glass plus Metal Frame body would be available in Phantom Black, Angel Gold, Ghost White colors.
