Samsung Galaxy S24 series comprises some of the best Android smartphones money can buy. The series comes with the latest Exynos and Snapdragon processors, ships with multiple cameras, and has a host of new Galaxy AI features. However, shortly after the launch, many early buyers reported facing several display-related issues with the series.

Samsung Addresses The Washed-Out Display Issue With A Vividness Slider

While some users reported noticing the grainy nature of the screen on the Galaxy S24 and Galaxy S24 Plus models, some reported seeing three horizontal bars in low brightness settings. However, the most widespread issue among users seemed to be washed-out display. Addressing the problem, Samsung has announced an exclusive update for the Galaxy S24 series.

Here’s Where The Vividness Slider Is And How It Works

Samsung Galaxy S24 vividness slider

“Based on your feedback, through an upcoming update, we aim to provide enhanced options and experiences across the device display and camera,” Samsung writes in a news post on its website. First, the update will bring a Vividness slider for a more vibrant display, as known tipster Ice Universe reported.

Under the Advanced Settings option, users can select the display’s Vividness levels. Raising the vividness of one notch will get colors similar to Galaxy S23 Ultra, while raising two notches will get a bright color similar to S21 Ultra, notes Ice Universe in his X post.

The Galaxy S24 Update Will Also Improve Several Camera Related Features

The update will also bring several improvements to the camera, such as zoom functions, Portrait Mode, Nightography, and the rear camera’s video shooting capabilities. However, the company doesn’t specify the exact details of the upgrade. Nonetheless, it’s clear that the update will fine-tune the Galaxy S24 series’ cameras.

The updates that improve the Galaxy S24 user experience should come out to all models in the series in the coming days.
