Samsung India has upgraded it’s A Series in India with the launch of Galaxy A7 2017 and Galaxy A5 2017. These new A-Series phones were first announced just before CES 2017.
The Galaxy A5 2017 is priced at Rs. 28,990, whereas the more premium Galaxy A7 (2017) costs Rs. 33,490. Both phones go on country wide sale starting March 15. Samsung is currently offering both phones in only Black Sky and Gold Sand color options.

Apart from hardware and software specifications, the highlight of both these phones is their ability to resist dust and water up to five feet for 30 minutes thanks to IP68 certification. Samsung has ensured that aesthetics of these phones remain uncompromised as both wear a premium metal and 3D glass construction.
The Samsung Galaxy A7 (2017) sports a 5.7-inch full-HD Super AMOLED display burning 1080×1920 pixels. It is powered by an octa-core chipset Exynos 7880 clocked at 1.9GHz, mated to 3GB RAM.
The phone has 32GB inbuilt storage which can be expanded up to 256GB using microSD card. In optics, the device flaunts a 16MP autofocus rear camera along with a 16MP front-facing camera, both having a fixed f/1.9 aperture.
Samsung has packed in a 3600mAh battery with fast charging technology. Additionally, it comes with a fingerprint sensor, Samsung KNOX security features.The phone relay on 4G LTE Cat 6., Wi-Fi, Bluetooth v4.2, ANT+, USB Type-C and NFC options for connectivity.

The Samsung Galaxy A5 (2017), on the other hand, comes with a 5.2-inch Super-AMOLED screen resolution similar to the Galaxy A7 2017. Other internals are more or less similar to the Jumbo sibling. It too features Exynos 7880 clocked, 3GB RAM and 32GB ROM. The A5 ships with a smaller 3,000mAh battery with fast charging support.
Both phones will also support upcoming Samsung Pay in India.
