The Korean tech giant has expanded its affordable 5G smartphone portfolio by releasing the Galaxy A06 5G. With support for 12 5G bands, the handset should make exceptional connectivity accessible to everyone through its affordable price. Available in three colors — Black, Gray, and Light Green — the phone is available at Samsung’s exclusive stores and other popular retailers.

Samsung Galaxy A06 5G Specifications And Features

Out of the box, the Galaxy A06 5G comes with a 6.7-inch HD+ screen built on a 20:9 aspect ratio. Under the hood, the handset runs on the MediaTek Dimensity 6300 processor with two 2.4GHz performance cores and six 2.0GHz efficiency cores. The chipset is paired with up to 6GB of physical memory and up to 128GB of storage.

The modem on the chipset supports 12 5G bands in India, unlocking fast wireless internet for users. Users also get carrier aggregation, which improves network connectivity and unlocks faster download speeds across all telecommunications providers.

The entry-level handset runs on One UI 7.0 based on Android 15, providing users with the latest supported features. Further, Samsung promises to provide four generations of operating systems and security updates (which is rare in the segment).

Regarding optics, the Galaxy A06 5G features a 50MP primary camera that captures sharp and detailed images and a 2MP depth camera. On the front, users get an 8MP selfie shooter for clicking pictures and attending video calls.

Powering the handset is a 5,000 mAh battery that supports 25W wired charging. Additional features of the smartphone include an official IP54 dust and splash resistance rating, a new Voice Focus feature that enhances call clarity in noisy environments, and Samsung’s Knox Vault for added security.

If the specifications or the features sound familiar, that’s because the company launched the Galaxy F06 5G a while ago. The phone features similar hardware and software, except that it looks slightly different and has a fingerprint scanner.

  • Galaxy A06 5G (6GB + 128GB): Rs. 12,999

As an introductory offer, the company is offering a one-year screen protection plan at Rs. 129 with the Samsung Care+ package against the market price of Rs. 699. Further, the smartphone is available with EMI offers from Samsung Finance+, NBFC, and banks.
