Samsung is prepping up to roll out the Galaxy Z Fold 4 and the Galaxy Z Flip 4 in India along with a few other countries on August 10. Most probably, the launch will take place in the evening the first sale of the smartphones will start in August only. However, recent rumours have sparked excitement among all Samsung fans. It is being said that Samsung is planning to drop the ‘Z’ from foldable smartphones.

A couple of previous leaks also suggested the same thing. Now, according to the leaks, it has been suggested that Samsung is taking this step because the letter Z is used by the Russian Military.

This clearly states that the decision of Samsung is a result of the war going on between Russia and Ukraine. For your information, the Russian Military tanks have the letter ‘Z’ on them. It has not been confirmed officially by Samsung. However, all the fingers point toward the fact that Samsung will soon drop it.

That reason in itself seems a little vague to me but the output is going to be something which the audience will love. Because the removal of Z will make the name of the upcoming devices a bit shorter and easier to speak.
