Samsung announces One UI 7 Update Rollout from April 7: Entire list of devices revealed

In January 2025, Samsung launched One UI 7, built on the Android 15 operating system, alongside the Galaxy S25 Series. Since that time, users have been anticipating the arrival of this latest UI update for older Samsung devices.

Recently, Samsung announced that the stable One UI 7 update will begin rolling out in April, and they have now released the list of devices and the rollout timeline. The update will initially be available for the Galaxy S24 series and the newest Samsung foldable models, followed by updates for older devices. Please see the rollout schedule below.

Samsung One UI 7: Rollout Schedule & Eligible Devices

April 7thSamsung Galaxy S24, Samsung Galaxy S24+, Samsung Galaxy S24 Ultra, Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 6, Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 6. Samsung Galaxy S24 FE model is doubtful on this date. Samsung has confirmed gradual rollout to older Galaxy phones and tablets.

The next devices which will get stable One UI 7 update will be Samsung Galaxy S23, Samsung Galaxy S23+, Samsung Galaxy S23 Ultra, Samsung Galaxy S23 FE, Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 5, Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 5, Samsung Galaxy A55, Samsung Galaxy Tab S10 lineup and Samsung Galaxy Tab S9 lineup.

Samsung One UI 7: Features

Galaxy AI- One UI 7 will introduce several AI capabilities, including AI Select for creating GIFs from videos, Writing Assist for text formatting and summarization, Drawing Assist to transform sketches into artwork, and Audio Eraser to eliminate background noise from videos. Enhanced integration with Google Gemini will facilitate device control, making interactions feel conversational. Additionally, a Natural Language search feature will be accessible in Settings, simplifying the process of adjusting user preferences.

Visual Appearance- One UI 7 will showcase an expressive design that encompasses a revamped widget and lock screen, a streamlined home screen, lively stock icons, and an updated aesthetic.

Functionality- The Now Bar will draw inspiration from the Live Activity feature available on iOS. This pill-shaped bar will display real-time updates from various applications, including music, deliveries, rides, and timers, directly on the lock screen or status bar. Users will be able to interact with the Now Bar and access its features without needing to unlock their devices.

Note- Writing Assist and Drawing Assist are available for Galaxy S23 Series, Galaxy S23 FE, Galaxy S24 series, Galaxy S24 FE, Galaxy Z5 and Z6 foldables, Galaxy Tab S9 Series, and Galaxy Tab S10 lineup. Audio Eraser will come to the Galaxy S24 lineup, Galaxy Z Fold 6, Z Flip 6 and Galaxy Tab S10 Series.

How to Download One UI 7 Update

  • Go to ‘Settings Menu’ on your Samsung device.
  • Go to ‘Software Update’.
  • Click on ‘Download and Install’.
  • If an update will be available for your device, follow the on-screen instructions to install it.
