Samsung announces new SSD T3 drives up to 2TB capacity starting at Rs. 10,999

Samsung has launched its portable external solid state drive (SSD) T3 in India starting at 10,999 for 250GB variant, while top 2TB variant priced at whopping Rs. 74,999. These SSD T3 will start retailing from March 21 onward in India. The T3 drive will retail at all leading online stores, including Flipkart, Amazon, and Snapdeal.

This newly announced drive comes equipped with Samsung’s proprietary Vertical NAND (V-NAND) and SSD TurboWrite technology, the T3 drive provides advanced performance, enabling consumers, content creators, business and IT professionals, to quickly and easily store and transfer large multimedia content across a variety of devices.

The T3 SSD drives strikingly identical to its predecessor T1 series. T3 flaunts credit card-like shape, however, it is slightly thicker and weighs about 51 grams in total.

According to Samsung, the can read/write speeds of up to 450 megabytes per second (MB/s) with a USB 3.0 interface – up to 4X faster than external HDDs. If makers claim are to believe it is almost 240X faster than external HDD. The T3 drive measures 74x58x10.5 mm dimensionally and weighs about 51gram. It comes with shock-resistant internal frame and has a thermal guard, to prevent overheating.
