Samsung’s powerful T7 Shield Portable SSD launched in India

Samsung India has announced a new external storage device in the country. The PSSD T7 (Portable Solid State Drive) comes with 4TB of storage, high speed, and a sleek design.

PSSD T7 Shield: Price & Color Variants

The PSSD T7 Shield is available in blue, red, and grey colors. It is priced between Rs. 30,000 to Rs. 35,000 and can be purchased via Samsung retail stores, leading electronics stores, and across online platforms like Amazon, Flipkart, and Samsung’s official online store as well.

PSSD T7 Shield: Features

The T7 Shield SSD has a read speed of up to 1050 MB/second and a compact size similar to a credit card. The PSSD T7 Shield aims at creative professionals and adventurers who are regularly on the go.

It gives a break-free workflow as it has reduced waiting time. It is powered by USB 3.2 Gen2 and embedded PCI NVMe technology that gives read/write speeds up to 1050/1000 MB/s. The download time from a laptop is about 8 seconds for a video in 4k quality 4.8GB video and 4.4 seconds for an FHD 3GB video. It gives sustained performance for longer durations. The brand claims that a 12K video of 1TB will only take 22 minutes to transfer from one source to another device.

It has a strong aluminum body and is IP65 rated for water and dust resistance. It is shock resistant as well for drops up to 3 meters. This can be used in confined spaces or outdoors while shooting. It weighs 98 grams and can easily be put in one’s pocket. It has 4TB storage while it is only 13mm thick.

The latest SSD from Samsung is 9.5 times faster than external hard disks and thus transferring or editing heavy files has been made easier. Consumers will be offered a 3-year limited warranty on the PSSD T7 Shield.
