Royale Flexpai 2 goes official

Technically speaking, Royale Flexpai was the first folding phone in the world. But it failed to leave an impression and was bested by the competition. Well, out of nowhere, here we have the successor – aptly named Royale Flexpai 2.

The company claims to have worked on a better hinge design and even packs notable specs. So, let’s not waste time and get on with its features and availability details.

Beginning with the bend, Royale claims the Flexpai 2 can withstand 200,000+ folds.
It could be used in varied directions and forms as well. And upon this, lies a display, which is called Cicada Wing. That has a nice ring to it, eh?

As you know, a folding design depends upon how well the hinge and the display work in tandem. This new display is composed of 100 micro-nano materials that alleviate the chances of bubbles and creases. It also vaunts a better job at recovering from folding strain.

And that’s about the physics of it all. Moving to visual aspects, the 7.8-inch panel boasts
1.3x better color gamut, 4:3 aspect ratio in the open state and 500x better contrast over a high-end LCD.

Much of the details still remain unrevealed. However, from what we know, this is specced like a flagship phone. It comes with 5G-capable Snapdragon 865, LPDDR5 RAM and UFS 3.0 storage. It has a quad-camera setup (specifics T.B.A).
