Xiaomi has launched their much-awaited Redmi Note 6 Pro in India. The Redmi note series phones have played a crucial role in changing the demographics of smartphones in India, and the new note will succeed Redmi Note 5 Pro with which it shares more than its fair share of semblance.
Xiaomi Redmi Note 6 Pro Features
The new Xiaomi Redmi Note 6 Pro comes with a 6.2-inch Full HD+ IPS display with an aspect ratio of 19:9. This smartphone is powered by 1.8 GHz Octa-core Snapdragon 636 SoC based on a 14nm process. The processor is supported by Adreno 509 GPU and 4GB/ 6GB. The phone comes with an internal storage of 64GB which can be expanded up to 256GB with a microSD card.

The new smartphone includes a dual AI camera on the rear with the primary one being a 12MP f/1.9 aperture Phase Detection Auto Focus sensor and the secondary being a 5MP depth sensor. The rear camera setup is bolstered with a LED flash and has Electronic Image Stabilization. On the front also, we have a dual camera setup with 20MP and 2MP sensors which can take AI-powered selfies.
The smartphone runs on Android 8.1 Oreo-based MIUI 10. It houses a mammoth 4000 mAh battery which supports Qualcomm Quick charge 3.0. Xiaomi has retained the 3.5 mm jack, IR blaster and FM radio support in this device.
Xiaomi Redmi Note 6 Pro Price
The Redmi Note 6 Pro has been priced at Rs.13,999 for the 4GB variant while the 6GB variant has been given a price tag of Rs.15,999. The phone will go on sale from November 23 and will be available exclusively on Flipkart and Mi.com and Mi Home. For the Black Friday sale which is scheduled for tomorrow, this phone will be sold at a special price of Rs. 12,999 for the 4GB+64GB version while the 6GB + 64GB version will be sold for 14,999. HDFC bank users get a discount of Rs. 500 taking the final prices to Rs. 12,499 and Rs.14,499 for the 4GB and 6GB variants respectively.
With the competition in the budget segment intensifying with the arrival of new smartphone brands like Realme, we need to see if Xiaomi manages to retain its crown with this new device.
