Redmi K70 appears on Geekbench with Dimensity 8300; Could launch in India as Poco F6

Xiaomi’s flagship Redmi K-series is getting another iteration very soon. Dubbed as Redmi K70 series, it has three members – Redmi K70, Redmi K70 Pro, and Redmi K70e and we have seen renders for the vanilla variant already. Turns out the phone has been spotted on Geekbench too bearing model number 2311DRK48C adding along some key hardware specs.

Redmi K70 appeared on Geekbench v6.0 scoring 1,248 points on single-core and 4,177 points on multi-core tests. The listing mentions the motherboard as ‘duchamp’ which is likely a yet-to-be-released MediaTek Dimensity 8300 SoC. It features a 1+3+4 cores arrangement clocked at a whopping 3.35GHz max frequency as you can see in the listing itself.

The chipset is expected to launch next week and will power sub-flagship devices including the Redmi K70. The Geekbench listing shows 16GB of RAM alongside Android 14 out-of-the-box.

Xiaomi Redmi K70 is speculated to launch in India as Poco F6 down the line. A similar Poco phone appeared on the Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS) certification site bearing model number 2311DRK481. It looks a lot similar to Redmi K70’s 2311DRK48C model number implying its imminent launch in the country. Redmi K70, on the other hand, is expected to launch in the first quarter of 2024.

Xiaomi Redmi K70 is expected to arrive with an FHD+ AMOLED 120Hz panel. There are rumors around Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 SoC although the latest & leaked Geekbench listing says Dimensity 8300 SoC. There’s 16GB+512GB storage, Android 14 out-of-the-box. We have heard about 90W fast charging capability too although we are yet to know the battery capacity.
