Redmi K20 Pro, Redmi K20 India Launch To Happen On July 17

Update:  Redmi K20 series has been listed on Flipkart.com teasing its launch on the website. If you’re interested, you could pre-book a unit through Flipkart and Mi.com starting July 12, 12 noon by paying a token amount of Rs. 855.

All the suspense around Redmi K20 Pro (review) and Redmi K20 India launch are over. Redmi India officially posted an image with #BelieveTheHype hashtag revealing the launch date of the new Xiaomi phones. Mi Pop 2019 fan event is also slated for the same day to celebrate Xiaomi’s fifth anniversary in the country. The event will be held at 12 pm IST in New Delhi.

The company CEO, Mr. Many Kumar Jain tweets, “Mi fans, it’s time for the knockout punch!,” reminding the fans to save the premiere date of the Flagship Killer 2.0.

Redmi India concurs to the long wait and vows to make it worth it to its fans via the social media platform. If you are a Xiaomi fan, you would already on the hype-train and might remember the slew of teasers ever since the launch of the Redmi K20 Pro and Redmi K20 in China.

Redmi K20 Pro, Redmi K20: What to expect?

Xiaomi is sly with its marketing tactics such as the Flagship Killer 2.0 tagline directed at OnePlus. We don’t want to get into the brand war. Even so, we feel the jab is rightfully shot due to its value proposition. To recall, Redmi K20 Pro, the bigger one of the duo features Snapdragon 855 chipset, upto 8GB RAM and 256GB storage, 4000mAh battery, in-display fingerprint scanner, and a 48MP camera, amongst many of its highlights.

In China, Redmi K20 Pro starts at Yuan 2499 (roughly Rs. 24,900) going up to Yuan 2999 (roughly Rs. 29,900) and the Redmi K20 starts at Yuan 1999 (roughly Rs. 19,900). Xiaomi is yet to reveal the Indian price. The company has recently announced a special Marvel Hero Avenger edition of K20 Pro in China. We could expect it to arrive in India as well.
