Xiaomi Redmi K20 series would be the next smartphone lineup to hit the Xiaomi’s homeland. The company has officially scheduled Redmi K20 launch event on May 28. With less than a week to go, phones offical renders and alleged specs appeared on Chinese microblogging site Weibo.

As per the render published on Weibo, we could see its glossy gradient glass back that shimmers in a reddish hue. The phone could arrive in Carbon Black, Glacier Blue, and Flame Red colors. The rear houses a vertical camera lineup which includes three cameras, with one of them placed separately within a ring atop.
We also see its power button and volume rocker residing on the right side.
This is yet another official image appeared on Weibo that endows some more key spec details related to the fingerprint reader.
As per the image, the K20 will be first redmi phone to come with an in-display fingerprint sensor. It will be a new generation scanner ensures a 100% higher photo-sensitive area giving 30% more accuracy than the predecessors. Redmi has also increased the fingerprint scanning area by around 15 percent.
The UD fingerprint scanner on the Redmi K20 will also come with DSP acceleration technology which will increase its unlock speed by 10% compared to the previous generation, while also increasing the success rate by 30% under direct light and low temperature.

Xiaomi has been teasing the K20 with notch-free full-screen display renders. As per the leaks, its front camera would pop up within a motorized module.

Going with the leaks and rumors we expect a 6.39-inch OLED display panel with 403 PPI, 19:5:9 screen to body ratio and 2340×1080 resolution. Underneath the display, a 4000mAH battery could fuel the device. The 3C certification listings confirm the base K20 variant would ship with 18W fast charging support while the bigger one would be compatible with a 27W fast charger. They would be USB type C chargers.
Rest we also know that at least the pro variant would be engined by Snapdragon 855 chipset. They could be available in two variants. The Redmi K20 might ship with 6GB LPDDR4X RAM and 64/128GB UFS 2.1 storage options. And the Pro variant might come with 8GB RAM and 128GB/ 256GB UFS 2.1 storage configurations.
Coming back to the cameras, the rear trio is rumored to include a 48MP sensor (f/1.7) paired with a 13MP (f/2.4) and finally an 8MP (f/2.4) aperture. The latter two could be ultra-wide and telephoto cameras, respectively. The company has hinted at 960 FPS slow-mo video recording support as well.
The K20 series would make their official debut in a matter of few days on the coming Tuesday. assured that the India launch will happen sooner rather than later without spilling out any details.
