Lava has officially unveiled key specifications for the upcoming Virat V1 5G and Virat V1 smartphones ahead of their July 24th India launch. Exclusively available on Flipkart, the Virat series prioritizes durability, clean, bloatware-free software, and long-lasting battery life over raw performance metrics. Both models feature 6.75-inch HD+ displays and IP64-rated durability, with hardware configurations tailored to address the practical, everyday needs of value-focused Indian consumers.
Both the Virat V1 5G and Virat V1 have 6.75-inch HD+ screens, IP64-rated bodies, side fingerprint sensors, and a clean Android experience with no ads or pre-installed apps. The main differences are the processor and battery size.

Lava Virat V1 5G: a 120Hz screen and 6,000mAh battery
The Virat V1 5G is the higher-end model. It uses a UNISOC T8200 chip, 4GB of RAM, 4GB of virtual RAM, and 64GB of storage. Its 6.75-inch HD+ screen runs at 120Hz, so scrolling should feel smoother than the usual 60Hz screens in this price range.
The camera setup is basic: a 13MP dual rear camera and a 5MP front camera. Lava does not promise standout low-light or portrait shots.
The 6,000mAh battery is the highlight. With the HD+ screen and efficient processor, most people may get up to two days of use. The Virat V1 5G comes in Arya Blue and Sonar Gold.

Clean Android promise
Lava has been one of the few Indian smartphone brands. It is also one of the few brands promise to ship a clean Android with no ads or bloatware. The Virat series keeps this promise. If you are tired of budget phones that send spammy notifications or show ads on the lock screen, this is a real advantage. Samsung’s Galaxy M and Xiaomi’s Redmi phones still include some bloat.

Availability and Pricing
Both phones will launch as Flipkart exclusives on July 24. Lava has not shared prices yet. How these phones stack up against the Redmi 13C 5G, Realme C67, and Moto G35 will depend on where Lava sets the price.
If Lava prices the Virat V1 5G under ₹10,000, the 120Hz screen and 6,000mAh battery could help it stand out. The Virat V1 needs to be closer to ₹7,000 to make sense with its older chip. Lava is betting that buyers care more about clean software, durability, and battery life than a small bump in speed or screen sharpness. This strategy has worked for them before. We will see if it works again next week.
