Xiaomi India has garnered significant attention recently due to its announcement of the most budget-friendly 5G smartphone. The Redmi A4 5G has now officially launched in India, marking it as the inaugural model in the ‘A-Series’ to support 5G connectivity. Serving as the successor to the 2023 Redmi A3, the Redmi A4 5G’s most notable enhancement is its 5G capability, which has now been integrated into Redmi’s entry-level A-series lineup.

Redmi A4 5G: Price & Availability
The Redmi A4 5G comes in two storage configurations-
- 4GB RAM+64GB storage-Rs. 8499
- 4GB RAM+128GB storage-Rs. 9499
It comes in Starry Black and Sparkle Purple shades and will retail via Amazon and offline stores starting November 27th.

Redmi A4 5G: Features

The Redmi A4 5G is powered by an octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 4 Gen 2 chipset with 4GB LPDDR4X RAM and up to 128GB UFS 2.2 storage onboard. The memory can be expanded up to 1TB using microSD card. It runs Android 14 OS with Xiaomi HyperOS on top. Redmi also promises two major Android updates and four major security updates with this device.
The Redmi A4 5G flaunts a 6.88-inch HD+ screen with a 120Hz refresh rate, 600 nits brightness, and 20:9 aspect ratio. It supports dual nano SIM and additional features include a side-mounted fingerprint sensor, 3.5mm headphone jack, FM Radio, 5G, WiFi 802.11, Bluetooth 5.3, GPS, GLONASS, and USB Type-C port.
In terms of the camera, there is a 50MP primary sensor at the back and a 5MP selfie sensor at the front. Under the hood, it draws juice from a 5160mAh battery with 18W charging. Redmi A4 5G measures 171.88×77.80×8.22mm and weighs 212.35 grams.
