Realme postpones upcoming launch event due to resurging COVID-19 cases

Realme has canceled its upcoming product launch event scheduled for May 4, wherein it was expected to launch Realme X7 Max, a flagship smartphone equipped with Dimensity 1200 chipset. The decision comes in the wake of the current coronavirus situation in India which has resulted in inflaming rise of COVID-19 cases in the country.

Madhav Sheth, Realme India CEO, shared the decision through Twitter along with urging everyone to follow COVID-19 safety protocols. 

After careful consideration, #realme has decided to postpone the upcoming smartphone and AIoT products' launch along with anniversary celebrations.

In these difficult times, let’s focus on contributing as much as possible.

Realme was almost set to launch a bunch of products as part of its 3rd Anniversary Celebrations on May 4. The event could have presented Realme X7 Max remodeled from Realme GT Neo, along with Realme TV 4K 43-inch, and a few unspecified AIoT products.

Since the first launch of the Realme brand back on May 4, 2018, the company used to organize anniversary celebrations during this period. Also, the brand tends to offer lucrative deals and discounts on Realme products. Now although the brand has postponed the event, it has not announced any new event date for the future.

As for as Realme X7 Max is concerned, the company has never revealed the model name but we strongly believe that it will the part of the Realme event, whenever it happens. The phone will be a premium offering equipped with MediaTek Dimensity 1200 5G processor. The X7 Max is expected to get a 6.43-inch sAMOLED 120Hz display, 64MP triple rear cameras, and a 4500mAh battery with 50W fast charge support.
